So, last night I did end up going to see the Misfits after much debate whether I wanted to drive up there alone or not. I asked everyone I knew if they wanted to go, but no one could or they were already there.
So I decided to make the trip myself at about 7:00pm, the trip wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. When I got there I pulled in to park, got my tickets out and put them in my back pocket. When I got to the door I went for the tickets and they were gone… Gone. No where to be found. I walked back to my car with no luck and remembered that some homeless man came awfully close to me when I was walking up. So maybe he pick-pocketed me?or maybe I just dropped them.
Anyway, I went back towards the venue and bought another ticket from some dude selling them for $5 cheaper than they were at the doors. So that works.
When I got there I ran into Pool, Lance, Sarah and her boyfriend Pete along with a few others I didn’t know. I hung out with them at the show and then, during molotov compromise Pete spotted Robo from the Misfits and we wen to get our records signed. I didn’t have a marker but Pete let me use his. Then later right before the Misfits came on, Jerry Only walks right by us. Again we went up to him, shook his hand and got him to sign our records. Jerry gave me a good hard slap on the chest and told us thanks for coming.
I had just met the Misfits, well all except Dez Cadena.
They were awesome just like last year. Very fast, much faster than on cd as usual. And they played probably 25 songs. Including bullet! My favorite song, they didn’t play it last time but it was their encore this time.
Unfortunately no Last Caress (WTF, really?)
After the show we all parted ways and I headed home, came really close to falling asleep on the way home but I’m alive, thanks Redbull.
I had a great time, and I can’t wait to hang out with all those guys again!
I just wish I wouldn’t have had to go alone, but I guess it was alright, gave me sometime to think.
Work now, off in an hour and a half.
KISS next weekend and maybe the Slackers.
